Creating a Best-Selling Legal Suspense Thriller

Detective mystery author Xavier DeSoto (Mardi Gras Madness) and theological sci-fi author Rosemary Althoff (The Hot Marble, etc.) have crossed genres to create The Lawyer’s Dilemma.

A real, nasty, and well covered-up 1928 Tulsa, Oklahoma race riot inspired our fiction novel’s theme. We asked, “What if the Tulsa Riot had happened in New Orleans and the recent defendants’ lawsuit had succeeded big-time?”

Then, grabbing ideas to turn our question into an exciting popular and profitable legal suspense thriller, we created our fictional characters plus their dangerous secrets. With Xavier’s genius at thriller plotting and sharp dialogue plus Rosemary’s skills at patient listening and her publication experience, we’ve finally finished the story.

Important Note: I can proclaim with substantial evidence during years of our planning and writing that none of the thriller’s content came from any AI source. Also, the book is not a Grisham or Turow knockoff attempt. The Lawyer’s Dilemma is a DeSoto & Althoff new creation.

More later about our lead character, New Orleans lawyer Jeremiah Delacroix. Rich, good-looking, descended from New Orleans aristocracy, and on the fast track to greatness, Jeremiah has never lost a case. Yet.
