Today in my devotions I’m getting a strong message that I am deeply loved—despite my weaknesses, faux pas’s, and even downright offensiveness. Deeply loved!
My childhood favorite book was The Little Engine that Could. Perhaps you read that one when you were a little kid? I was about three when it was read to me, and I memorized it until I could read it on my own. This was the book that let me know that I wanted to be a writer when I grew up and encourage people to use all their power until they achieve their goals.
What is your favorite book from childhood? And why?
Thoughtful. Encouraging. Spiritual.
With the life that God grants me, I want to use my creativity to encourage people to desire a realm beyond the merely physical, like J. R. R. Tolkien did for me. Also, I want to point people to where they can find Him, as C. S. Lewis did when I was an atheist. I am now following Jesus,, and I don’t look back.
