Thank You

How do you express your gratitude?

Very simply, I say “Thank You!” I also write thanks to God in my journal and think “thank you” in my prayers. I may be moved to offer a gift to someone who has encouraged me, too.

I think it might to fun to write a song of thanks!

What Books Guided Your Life?

For me, five books that changed my thinking or contributed to my understanding of life and our world are:

1. The Little Engine That Could (children’s book that inspired me to become a writer)

2. The Lord of the Rings series by J.R.R.Tolkien (I read it over and over as a teen, and I still read it)

3. Perelandra by C.S. Lewis (spoke to me about the reality of the spiritual world when I considered myself an atheist)

4. The Success Principles by Jack Canfield (good guidance in there!)

5. The Golden Rendezvous by Alistair MacLean (just plain fun.)

What are some of yours?

If I forgot about God …

What are you most worried about for the future?

Anxiety creeps up in me when I consider the evil in the world, my country, my city. As a citizen I have some small power to vote and to speak up and to love, but the evil is greater than I am. But when I remember that Jesus is Lord over all the earth, and meditate on the Bible verse, “Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world,” I can relax.
