The Hot Marble —
Written by Mac
I like Science Fiction (Dune Series, Lord of the Rings, Narnia/CS Lewis) as well as Historical Fiction. The Hot Marble is well planned and executed in that today’s world many kids are thrown into real life as the characters in the book experience. Kids are put in situations that they aren’t planned to handle and Mrs. Althoff shows that well.
My favorite character is Lewis. He has a knack for useable knowledge. He tries to take responsibility (sometimes it doesn’t work in his favor). All of the characters have struggles just as we do.
There is a lot of good action in the book. As a guy that isn’t that much of a reader, it has plenty of action that keeps me turning the page to see what happens next.
I don’t want to give away any plotlines, but I was pretty upset when a character was “killed off”. I know that this happens in many books, but when you grow to like a character and identify with them it doesn’t make it any easier.
This is a great book.

If you enjoy science fiction, other worlds, and romance, you’ll love this story. It’s the sequel to The Hot Marble with plenty of action, suspense, and symbolism that points to our creator and spiritual warfare in the natural world. Thank you, Rosemary Althoff, for sharing your brilliant imagination with us!
